Professor Dr. Osama Khalil Shaath

Dr. Sherif Hassan Taha Alboushi is an Egyptian academic specializing in constitutional law and political systems. He currently holds the position of Associate Professor at Suleiman International University, having joined the university in 2018.

Dr. Alboushi earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Assiut University in Egypt, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the same university. He then pursued his graduate studies, obtaining a Master’s degree in Public Law, followed by a PhD in Public Law from Assiut University in 2014. His doctoral dissertation was titled “Constitutional Legitimacy between Positive Systems and the Islamic System: A Comparative Study,” supervised by Prof. Dr. El-Sayed Khalil Heikal and Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman Mohamed Abdelkader.

After relocating to Turkey, Dr. Alboushi joined Suleiman International University, where he began his academic career in the Faculty of Law. He contributed significantly to the development of curricula and the enhancement of scientific research in his field. Thanks to his academic and research contributions, he was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor, reflecting the scholarly recognition of his qualifications and achievements.

Dr. Alboushi’s research interests focus on the study of political systems, comparative constitutional analysis, and evaluating the compatibility of legal systems with Islamic principles. He also places special emphasis on examining the relationship between constitutional legitimacy and political systems in Muslim-majority countries.

Through his academic work, Dr. Alboushi strives to strengthen scientific collaboration between Egypt and Turkey and is regarded as an influential voice in his field. He actively participates in scientific conferences and academic activities, contributing to enhancing the status of Suleiman International University as a leading educational institution in the region.
