Professor Dr. Ahmet Emin Serin
Professor Dr. Ahmet Emin Serin is a distinguished Turkish academic and administrative strategist whose multifaceted career spans military service, community development, and academic excellence. Born on March 20, 1973, in Sivas, Turkey, he graduated from the Turkish Military Academy in 1995 and went on to serve in several key locations across Turkey and internationally, including missions with the European Union Force (EUFOR) in Bosnia and NATO operations in Kosovo.
Following his retirement from the military, Dr. Serin transitioned into academia and research. In 2018, he earned the title of Associate Professor (Doçent Dr.) in the field of Management and Strategy, gaining recognition for his interdisciplinary approach that bridges leadership, public administration, and local development. He also spearheaded impactful social initiatives such as the “Waste Leather” and “Leather Carpet” projects, which were highlighted by the Sabancı Foundation under its “Changemakers” program for their contribution to community sustainability.
Since 2020, Dr. Serin has been a faculty member at Suleyman International University, where he has played a key role in developing academic programs tailored to students from war-torn and crisis-affected countries—a core focus of the university’s mission. His extensive background in leadership and strategic management has significantly contributed to the academic and social objectives of the institution.
In 2024, Dr. Ahmet Emin Serin was promoted to the rank of Full Professor, in recognition of his consistent academic contributions, international conference participation, and publication of peer-reviewed research articles. His scholarly work often explores the integration of effective management with social responsibility, particularly in fragile or transitional contexts.
Alongside his academic pursuits, Professor Serin has remained actively involved in public and political life. As of October 2023, he serves as the Vice President for Foreign Affairs of the Great Unity Party (BBP), underscoring his commitment to civic engagement and policy influence.
